Mission Technologies is currently seeking an Industrial Security Manager to lead Security Projects. This position is a multi-faceted role and requires in-depth knowledge of the HII Mission Technologies Industrial Security Program and the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). This role is responsible for coordinating with internal departments, government agencies, and external partners to maintain facility clearances, personnel clearances, and security certifications. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DoD regulations, DFARS requirements, and industrial security best practices.
Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
• Lead many high priority security projects within the HII Mission Technologies Security Department.
• Develop in-depth training and user guides tailored to security personnel and the overall workforce for Access Commander and Portal Commander applications.
• Develop, implement and revise security forms, processes, and procedures.
• Work closely with various Government Agencies and Program Offices submitting access level nominations, processing personnel paperwork, administering indoctrinations, document control, visit requests, and security education and training.
• Function as a member of the corporate security team reporting directly to the Vice President of Security for HII Mission Technologies to administer the overall HII Mission Technologies security program and will provide guidance and support to HII Mission Technologies field sites.
• Responsible for the administration and coordination of DOD and other industrial security programs and activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
• Develops and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment in coordination with government agencies and management personnel. Administers Closed and Restricted Areas when applicable.
• Reviews and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations.
• Obtains rulings, approvals, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
• Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor access to restricted records and materials.
• Prepares and conducts security education classes and security audits.
• Coordinates tasks during security violations and provides guidance for reports and preventive action to be taken.
• Participates in physical security surveys, threat/vulnerability assessments, and other physical security and risk management items that impact the industrial security program. Works with stakeholders to ensure compliance across all HII Mission Technologies field sites.
• Ensures accuracy of the security clearance data base and document control using the Access Commander database.
• Interfaces with government customers on security related issues.
• Ensures that classified information entrusted to the company is properly safeguarded as outlined in federal controlling instructions.
• Serves as the security lead and subject matter expert for company initiatives including, but not limited to, CMMC certification and contract proposals.
• Serves as the Program Execution Hub Chair for the HII Insider Threat Program.
• Responsible for preparation, management and interfacing with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) during audits.
• The candidate will also perform other duties as directed.
Requirements: I have already done that or have it!
• 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
• Directly experience supervising individual contributors and/or entry-level professionals
• Candidate must work well in a team environment and possess excellent speaking, writing, organizational, and customer service skills.
• The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple tasks and work well under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidate must be able to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments concurrently.
• Candidate must have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Pro, DISS, NBIS, NISS (ACCS and NCCS is a plus).
• Evidence of understanding the DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessment (SVA) process and achieving ratings of commendable or above on previous assessments.
• Candidate must be an expert in the use of Access Commander and Portal Commander.
• Candidate must have a proven track record of creating security forms, processes, and procedures.
• Must have proven experience developing and providing training to security professionals.
• Experience in conducting thorough annual inspections and mentoring other security professionals in conducting self-inspections.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• DCSA FSO certification for possessing facilities required (CDSE certificate).
• Must possess a current Top-Secret clearance with an in-scope background investigation.
Preferred Requirements
• 4 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant experience as a security professional supporting the Department of Defense with knowledge of the 32 CFR 117 – NISPOM Rule.
• Experience in administering and managing an Insider Threat Program at a Division or above equivalent. Courses completion related to Insider Threat program operations are a plus.
