We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Manager of IT Operations to join our team.  A successful candidate will have proven experience in leading a hybrid cloud/on-prem operations team that is responsible for infrastructure and networking. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and play a critical role with one of the leaders in the U.S. defense community.
 

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

•    Manage and oversee all aspects of IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, and security.
•    Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure, including cloud-based and on-premises environments.
•    Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems and data, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations.  
•    Manage and lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed.
•    Monitor and analyze IT operations performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
•    Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure effective communication and coordination.
•    Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in IT, evaluating their potential impact on the organization and making recommendations for adoption or implementation as appropriate.
 

What you must have:

•    6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
•    Proven experience in managing IT operations in a complex, fast-paced environment, preferably in U.S. defense contracting environments.
•    Experience with cloud providers that supply U.S. defense organizations.
•    Solid project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
•    Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
•    Proactive and innovative mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change.
 

Bonus Points/ Preferred Requirements:

•    Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Physical Requirements

Normally subject to minimal hazards associated with the office environment. Exposure to fumes, irritants, laser light, toxic chemicals, and potential electrical shock in an industrial or shipboard environment. May involve gathering data while observing rotating or operating machinery in a wide variety of potential work environments. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams, or making quality assurance checks at the actual labor site.
