We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Manager of IT Enterprise Applications to join our team.  A successful candidate will have proven experience in leading an Enterprise Applications team and activities. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and play a critical role with one of the leaders in the U.S. defense community.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

•    Leader for the Enterprise Applications team and activities
•    Solely responsible for emergency problem tracking, resource scheduling, communication, and follow-up
•    Plans, organizes, and prioritizes team workload
•    Works closely with SOX Compliance team to ensure approaches to software delivery are SOX compliant
•    Oversees Change Management for all applications
•    Collaborates with the Director and peers on IT Roadmap
•    Works closely with IT Cyber to ensure applications meet security rules and regulations
•    Solely responsible for monthly patching and ensuring applications are up to date with security and patching
•    In charge of Incident Management ensuring tickets are correctly queued, prioritized, and assigned
•    Responsible for software vendor selection, software renewals, and license procurement
•    Ensures that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are adhered to
•    Establishes IT “best practices”, compliance, security policies, and regulations
•    Responsible for team goals, reviews, and moral building
•    Assists Director with budget planning and tracking

What you must have:

•    8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
•    Experience in software delivery
•    Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and decision-making with proven experience paying attention to details
•    Project management skills, including organization, planning, prioritization, and time management
•    Experience with programming languages, server software, and systems
•    Understanding of software development life cycles, systems programming, and scripting
•    Experience with enterprise resource planning systems
•    Ability to train employees and colleagues
•    Comfort working with teams, clients, and vendors to identify and solve problems
•    An attitude to strive for constant improvement in technical systems and processes
•    Leadership skills that inspire technical teams to achieve project success

Physical Requirements

May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
