Job Description

HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking a  Junior to Senior Financial Analyst to provide programmatic and budgetary portfolio support to the DoD Executive Agent (EA) for DoD’s Mission Partner Environment (MPE) within the National Capital Region.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Compiles, analyzes and reviews DoD level spend plans using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration.
  • Prepares financial plans and budget models - the DoD POM input.
  • Monitors implementation of financial policies, prepares reports, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, monthly accruals, and expenses.
  • Recommends and interprets budgetary policies and procedures, prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds, and determines rationale for variances between costs and budget.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in building POM submissions, looking at line items and spend plans, executing money in a Program Element (PE).
  • Experience coordinating and monitoring the execution of spend plans.
  • Experience dealing with reprogramming actions and the associated analysis
  • US Citizenship
  • Clearance: Must possess an active TS clearance and have SCI eligibility.

Preferred Requirements

  • 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19+ years relevant experience.
  • Previous exposure to or experience with financial execution of spend plans at US Defense Combatant Commands (CCMDs), and/or more than one US military service or agency.   

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
