Job Description

The HII Cyber, Electronic Warfare, & Space Group is seeking a Subject Matter Expert Enterprise Architect to address the Mission Partner Environment (MPE) portfolio of systems, the capabilities of the portfolio, and to lead the development of a reference architecture set. The Enterprise Architect will research, develops, document, staff, and provide analysis of enterprise and related operational and system architectures for the DoD Mission Partner Environment Executive Agent customer in the Washington DC metro area. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
  • Prepares, staffs, and publishes formal architecture documents.
  • Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security.
  • Works with functional subject matter experts to collect and describe operational and system processes, nodes, activities, associated inputs, controls, outputs, and mechanisms.
  • Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.
  • Develops and provides technical guidance or recommends corrective actions
  • Participates in related conferences; generates minutes and captures key action items.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
  • Onsite within the National Capital Region preferred, but remote locations possible depending upon access to classified system and candidate qualifications
  • TS clearance with SCI eligibility
  • US Citizen
  • Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Joint military experience
  • Strong presentation and communication skills 

Extra Points for:

  • 20+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 18+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 15+ years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 24 years relevant experience.
  • Experience utilizing DOD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) diagraming tools such as Microsoft Visio - Cameo NoMagic Preferred.
  • Previous exposure to or experience with some or all of the relevant capabilities, functions, missions, and processes of the US Defense Combatant Commands,  CCMD JIOCs and coalition interoperability 
  • Understanding of coalition intelligence and operational data sharing programs, techniques or methodologies
  • Familiarity with DoD JADC LIne of Effort 5 initiatives, DoD Zero Trust pillars, and/or NATO Federated Mission Networking standards
  • Knowledge of commonly used cross domain transfer options and technologies
