Job Description

HII-Mission Technologies Division is currently seeking a Journeyman Enterprise Architect. The Enterprise Architect searches, develops, documents, and analyzes enterprise, operational, and system architectures for the Secretary of the Air Force customer in the Washington DC metro area for the Mission Partner Environment Enterprise and Expeditionary systems and their modernization.

Essential Job Responsibilities

The Journeyman  C5ISR/MPE Enterprise Architect will develop  Mission Partner Environment reference architecture in support of JADC2-related impacts to Line of Effort 5 - modernization of the Mission Partner Environment (MPE).

• Develop DOD Architecture Framework-compliant views and associated data.
• Work with functional subject matter experts to collect and describe operational and system processes, nodes, activities, associated inputs, controls, outputs, and mechanisms.
• Prepare, staff, and publish formal Command architecture documents.
• Produce architecture in support of cybersecurity accreditation requirements. 
• Conduct strategic architecture staff actions (tasks, papers, briefings, etc.)
• Research, develop/document, and analyze existing MPE enterprise and expeditionary architectures, identify andy mission capability gaps/redundancies,  and research and develop other architecture-related documents and plans.
• Participate in MPE-related architecture conferences; generate minutes and capture key action items.
• Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
• Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security.
• Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system.
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.
• Develops and recommends corrective actions.
• May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor in a related field; 3 years relevant experience with Master in a related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) experience 
• Basic understanding of military operations, DoD structure, and various mission/coalition partners
• Must maintain a current active TS/SCI security clearance
• US Citizen

Preferred Requirements

Additional Experience on the following is preferred, but not required:
•  Previous exposure to or experience with some or all of the relevant capabilities, functions, missions, and processes of the US Defense Combatant Commands,  CCMD JIOCs and coalition interoperability 
•  Understanding of coalition intelligence and operational data sharing programs, techniques or methodologies
•  Commonly used cross domain transfer options and technologies
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks, best practices and goals
