HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking an Engineer Field 4 to work on-site at Ft Irwin (San Bernadino County), California.

As an Engineer Field 4, you will work with a large, dynamic, and fast-paced C5ISR FEDSIM contract in an effort to provide the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN) and its mission partners with emerging technologies in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) systems and associated cybersecurity, communications and information assurance. The Engineer Field 4 will play an integral role in the completion of our mission to rapidly deploy and inject mission capability across the globe.

What you will do:

 

  • Troubleshoots technical problems and issues,
  • determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution.
  • Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.
  • Represent the team with management, higher headquarters, Department of the Army and other customers through meetings, briefings, and correspondence.
  • Facilitate team meetings, set team goals and objectives, develop strategies, evaluate customer needs, reengineer team processes, evaluate customer satisfaction and team performance, develop plans to improve team performance and meet customer needs.
  • Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Evaluates Field status/readiness of assigned system(s) and takes corrective action for existing or foreseen problems.
  • Work with technical manuals and engineering drawings, to perform technical evaluation of equipment and materials presented in these drawings and manuals.
  • Identifies maintenance support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life cycle of product.
  • Manage usage of all hardware and software assets from procurement through deployment and decommissioning
  • Familiar with a variety of hand and power tools to ensure compliance with proper safety precautions and optimum performance of tasking.
  • Proficient in the use of PCs and word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, desktop applications, and electronic mail programs.

What we are looking for:

 

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
  • Full knowledge of industry practices.
  • Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks.
  • Problem Solving: Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.

Preferred Requirements

 

  • Experience working with DOD.
  • Experience working with US Army.
  • Relevant experience within Power Generation systems, solar panels, super capacitors, hydrogen-fuel cells
  • Experience with configuration management for Department of Defense systems, Government Acceptance Testing, and physical configuration audits
  • Experience working with SharePoint, or other data repository tools

Physical Requirements

 

  • Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
  • May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
  • Exposure to fumes, irritants, laser light, toxic chemicals, and potential electrical shock in an industrial or shipboard environment. May involve gathering data while observing rotating or operating machinery.
