Job Description

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is seeking a qualified Logistics Manager. The ideal candidate has a solid logistics background with specific strengths in cross-organizational coordination, asset management, and dynamic, fast-paced environments. This position will support a large portfolio of first-of-their-kind systems in all stages of development and will work closely with external organizations and stakeholders in addition to the HII project management team. The ideal candidate has an outstanding ability to proactively communicate with vendors and partners in remote locations, tireless focus on the mission and making projects a reality, and an innovative and strategic mindset to find solutions to challenging problems.

 

This position is located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio and is within a commutable distance from Beavercreek , Fairborn , Dayton, and Riverside.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Responsible for providing logistics support for multiple programs across all phases.

  • Develop and implement sparing strategies, including tracking and management of spare parts inventory (asset management)
  • Coordinate material movement via both commercial/contracted and internal transportation
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, preparation, setup, and execution of key program events
  • Support property management including preparing, reviewing, and tracking documents such as 1149s and DD250s
  • Manage the preparation of sites for system deployment including conducting site surveys, coordinating site requirements with all stakeholders, and overseeing construction and infrastructure improvements
  • Organize training events to include scheduling and ensuring training materials and resources are available

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Secret clearance required to start
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance, with enhanced security checks

   

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
