Job Description

Huntington Ingalls Industries - Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is looking for a qualified Senior Training Systems Manager to support the F-22 Program Office located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.  Candidate must have a current Top Secret/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Provide support in the identification of all factors that must be considered to perform the acquisition of production, maintenance, upgrade, supportability improvements, and modernization of the F-22 Pilot Training Systems and Maintenance Training Systems.


Experience in acquisition program management philosophy, policies, and procedures to DoD, USAF, and sister service systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities, including prime mission equipment and support equipment, post-award project/program management tasks, and planning for the accomplishment of various program milestones and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles.


Acquisition Program Management support includes:


  • Advise and assist in the management and organization of resources and personnel needed to efficiently and effectively meet the objectives of each task.
  • Assist with the development of documents
  • Perform material solution analyses leading up to design reviews.
  • Produce or support development of draft documentation and presentation materials
  • Support development of reporting material and Commander’s/ Director’s Action Group processes
  • Provide support for the full spectrum of actions required
  • Provide assistance in risk management, project management, process improvement support, and logistics support.
  • Provide support for strategic scheduling and planning documentation
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain a master integrated program schedule from concept exploration to fielding a system
  • Employ networking software tools and capabilities to support lower tier schedule networking, network statistics usage, generation of network graphics, assignment of realistic durations, and relationships to network element
  • Evaluate Weapon System Contractor-proposed schedules against Government schedules
  • Assess Government program office schedules against schedule databases
  • Conduct probabilistic and deterministic risk assessments
  • Utilize Microsoft Project
  • Integrate Weapon System Contractor/Supplier and Government schedule data with the F-22 Division’s schedule databases.
  • Perform analyses to support program strategy decisions and courses of action
  • Provide a program assessment for integration of documentation to ensure consistency with program strategy and consistency across all milestone documentation.
  • Provide inputs, draft, coordinate with the appropriate F-22 Division branches and/or other Government agencies, adjudicate comments, and produce final versions of coordinated milestone documents and assessments.
  • Develop and collect technical data
  • Provide assistance to the Government for the development of key program metrics and shall perform periodic reviews to identify variances to program/project plans and potential issues for Government consideration.
  • Support the development, review
  • Support to process and complete AF Form 1067 Modification Proposal activities
  • Provide programmatic support for the using command’s requirements and planning councils or similar requirement review processes.
  • Advise and assist the Government in its management of risk, cost, schedule, and performance of various OFP development efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA)/Master of Science (MS)) with twelve (12)  years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
  • BA/BS degree with fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD OR Twenty (20) years of directly related experience with proper certifications, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD Non-Functionally
