Job Description

Candidate will develop the vision for and architect the implementation for the Linux cloud and on premises compute environment. Candidate will define and develop technical solutions for on-premises computing systems and leverage Cloud solutions to deliver high performance technical solutions.  The candidate will guide a team to manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud and on premises compute environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge. Performing the assigned duties with a high level of autonomy and reporting to management on customer status and technical matters on a regular basis, you will be expected to work with very limited guidance from management. This individual will be a team player and work well with technical professionals in a multi-discipline agile environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Identify cloud architecture solutions to meet customer needs
  • Create conceptual, logical and physical design for cloud-based and on premises solutions for infrastructure and platforms
  • Architect compute environments with industry standard best practices
  • Experience with Cloud technologies such as OCI, Azure, AWS etc.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and other container architectures
  • Collaborate with the DevSecOps teams
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Minimum Secret clearance required to start.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI with enhances security checks.

Preferred Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with creating compute system architectures
  • 7+ years of experience in virtual or containerized environment
  • 7+ years of experience with automation scripts: Bash, Python, Ansible, PowerShell
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud environment
  • 7+ years of experience with Linux and Windows Server administration
  • [Desired] Cloud certifications
  • [Desired] Experience with VMware vCenter and ESXi
  • [Desired] Experience with GitLab/GitHub pipelines and actions
  • [Desired] Experience with containers like Docker and Kubernetes

Physical Requirements

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the Computer Systems Architect family.
