Job Description
Huntington Ingalls Industries – Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is seeking an Inventory / Stock Technician to oversee stock of electronic, mechanical and Hazardous Material items used for mission support. Locations include:
- Two Dayton, OH locations (to include on base location at Wright Patterson Air Force Base - WPAFB)
- NSA Crane Indiana.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Compiles records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued. Requisitions needed supplies; verifies material received to determine irregularities in order; inspects articles and rejects defective ones. Prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts. Ensures Hazmat material are inventoried, stored and disposed of properly in accordance with DoD, state and local regulations.
- Maintain stock at appropriate levels and reorder components as needed
- Maintain database of stocked components including part #s, specifications, and location
- Fill from stock for components that are stocked
- Order any components that are not stocked
- Track status of items and provide updates to engineer on a quarterly basis
- Deliver/ship deployment kits to test engineers
- Monitor shelf life and maintain Material Data Safety Sheets
- Attend training to maintain applicable certifications necessary to accomplish duties
- Work with technical staff to identify new items that should be stocked or obsolete items that can be removed from stock
- Must actively participate in and support successful government inspections related to hazardous materials compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
- CLEARANCE: Minimum Secret clearance required to start
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS clearance with enhanced security checks.
Physical Requirements
May require working in an industrial environment. Must be able to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
