Job Description
Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies Division (HII-MT) is considering innovative candidates for a Real-Time Software Engineer, Associate. This individual will be responsible for the development of real-time software in support of hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) electronic warfare test systems. In addition to developing real-time software, the candidate will have the opportunity to learn DSP, modeling and simulation, and advanced radar techniques, among other skills. The growth potential of this position is only limited by the candidate’s desire and ability to learn new skills. Candidates should possess good people skills to be able to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists solving challenging technical problems.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of the basic principles of computer science
- Experience in C/C++ programming
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Desire and ability to learn new skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS clearance with enhanced security checks
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with micro controllers and embedded systems
- Experience with real-time software development
- Familiarity with Linux
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python
- Digital Signal Processing experience
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink
- Experience with Labview
- Experience with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc,
- Experience GPU programming using CUDA and others.
- Knowledge of programming communications over network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, and others
- Secret clearance to start work
Physical Requirements
Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.
