Who we are

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Contract Site Lead to be part of the Program Management Office. This role is to support the upcoming Logistics, ISR, and Next-Gen Technology (LOGIX) Task Order (TO).  The Site Lead oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. The LOGIX TO will support the JADC2 goal to deliver a relevant information advantage with ISR operations and logistics support. To support continued progress and sustainment of the JADC2 Strategy, the LOGIX TO support the accelerated application of technological solutions by analyzing new and emerging technologies for DIU-NSIN Mission Partner systems, technologies, capabilities, platforms, equipment, and associated subordinate and supporting systems used to execute their missions.

 

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations, personnel, and contract deliverables at NSWC Crane for the LOGIX Task Order.  Acting as the primary point of contact for HII at NSWC Crane, the site lead ensures all aspects of the contract are executed efficiently within budget and incompliance with all HII and contract requirements.  Additionally, as the configuration manager you will manage the documentation, configuration and change control processes for hardware, software and system components throughout the system lifecycle stored at this site.

What you will do

  • Serve as the on-site leader responsible for day-to-day operations
  • Oversee and manage staff to ensure contract deliverables are met on time and within scope
  • Maintain a professional, effective, and collaborative relationship with all mission partners and other local stakeholders
  • Coordinate with program managers and other stakeholders to address operational and personnel issues
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the on-site team
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Act as primary point of contact for all on-site contract related issues
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports as required
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate all onsite personnel
  • Facilitate training and development for staff to maintain expertise and readiness
  • Manage schedules, assignments, and resource allocation effectively
  • Develop and implement configuration management plans, policies, and procedures in alignment with organizational standards
  • Establish and maintain a centralized Configuration Management Database or equivalent system
  • Oversee version control and baseline management for all systems components, including hardware, software, and documentation
  • Monitor and track configuration changes to ensure system integrity and compliance with requirements
  • Additional duties as assigned or required 

What we are looking for

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience
  • Experience supporting complex technical projects and or programs within the Department of Defense (DOD)
  • Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong understand of NSWC Crane and the vital role it plays in supporting the warfighting capabilities of the DOD
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and other project management software
  • Strong organization and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with a functionally diverse team
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance 

Preferred: Bonus points for...

  • 5 years of experience supporting complex technical projects and or programs within the Department of Defense (DOD)
  • Project Management Professional or other project management certification
  • Prior experience working inside a complex and dynamic PMO
  • Familiarity with DOD-specific project management methodologies, process and reporting tools

Physical Requirements

May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
