Summary
HII, Mission Technologies seeking an experienced Configuration Management Specialist who will support a government program in Crane, IN. This role is crucial in maintaining and optimizing our organization's configuration management processes, ensuring proper control of hardware inventory, documentation, and software configurations. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage change processes and provide strategic guidance on configuration management best practices.
What you will do
- Oversee and maintain comprehensive hardware inventory management systems.
- Develop and implement configuration management procedures and policies.
- Collaborate with the Configuration Control Board to establish and enforce product release protocols.
- Manage documentation control and version management processes.
- Lead change management initiatives and provide guidance on configuration modifications.
- Monitor and track product configurations throughout their entire lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with configuration management standards and requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain configuration integrity.
- Develop and maintain configuration management documentation and reports.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of professional experience in configuration management.
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- Proven experience in change management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Clearance: Must have an active SECRET security clearance.
