Anticipated Salary Range: $95,399.00 - $140,000.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. When extending an offer, Enlighten takes a variety of factors into consideration which include, but are not limited to, the role's function, internal equity and a candidate's education or training, work experience, certifications and key skills. Job Description

Enlighten is looking for a Cyber Instructor to assist in designing, developing and delivering highly technical advanced training to enhance multiple mission operations across the defense industry. The candidate must have an engaging personality, customer service adaptability, and excellent teaching skills. They will work in a fast-paced, mission oriented environment with our talented team of instructors and curriculum developers. The candidate must have a background and understanding of joint service defensive operations as well as network or host cyber operations and analysis. Work location is hybrid, and the candidate must be willing to work on-site with customers as needed and travel approximately 25% of the time. CONUS and OCONUS travel is possible.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Solicit and engage customers to define learning requirements and objectives for complex technical concepts and scenario based training.
  • Develop engaging training materials in a variety of formats including web-based training, videos, slides, instructor/participant guides, knowledge checks, practical exercises/labs, use cases and best practices.
  • Conduct advanced training courses in cyber hunt, log analysis, intrusion investigation, software operations, platform architecture, and other relevant topics, through use of lectures, demonstrations and hands-on lab exercises.
  • Revise course materials as necessary to maintain currency with development processes and publications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subject matter experts and industry professionals to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in cyber hunt and related fields to incorporate into training materials.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with operational units to increase training efficacy and operational adoption.
  • Collaborate with other trainers and instructional designers to develop comprehensive training programs that meet the needs of various audiences.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to internal teams, including coaching on technical skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
  • Stay current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities in order to provide relevant and timely training to trainees.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Security Clearance: A current Secret level U.S. Government security clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required.
  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
  • Experience conducting technical training in classrooms or small groups.
  • Experience in cyber operations and analysis.
  • Experience in training curriculum development.
  • Experience working with Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days a week in Columbia, MD. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes, customer needs, and in person training delivery as needed.

Preferred Requirements

  • Current Top Secret level security clearance is preferred. 
  • Background in Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), Network Operations (NetOps), and Intelligence Operations (IntelOps).
  • Web Based Training development with application such as Articulate (Storyline) or Adobe Captivate.
  • Experience maintaining Learning Management Systems (LMS) libraries and content.
