Job Description
Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is searching for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) Integration Lead (Missions Coordinator - Lead) for the Navy Integration Training Environment (NITE) program. The Integration Lead works onsite Battle Lab Simulation Center, Camp Lejeune, NC supporting II MEF and Navy Surface Warfare Center – Corona (NSWC Corona) in providing Marine Corps LVC training. The person assists with the planning, design, and execution of II MEF LVC training events The position also supports on-site and distributed training events at other sites, as directed. The Specialist position requires interaction with Military, Government and Contractor Leadership. Communication skills are required. The position requires flexibility to work non-standard work hours and work weeks of more than 40 hours to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Serve as NSWC-Corona’s LVC technical and operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of LVC training events.
- Communicate with leadership on any technical or operational issues and new requirements.
- Assist in leveraging LVC capabilities and strategies that align with goals of the training program.
- Oversee implementation of new systems and upgrades to existing systems, ensuring they meet technical standards and training requirements.
- Work with the Marine Enterprise Training Network (MTEN) and Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) local and remote operators and engineers, and external Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) teams to coordinate and plan systems and personnel support for events.
- Adjust daily working hours occasionally to match times zones around the world where events are occurring.
- Occasional travel is required in support of event planning conferences.
- Use Confluence and JIRA collaborating tools to share event schedules, documents, and after-action reports.
- Identify, document, reLVCport, and track issues, while keeping appropriate technical personnel, NSWC- Corona, BSC leadership, and other stakeholders informed of status.
Minimum Qualifications
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- Construct of Operational and Tactical Levels of Warfare events to include live virtual constructive
- Well-developed personal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools.
Preferred
- Prior military service leadership level highly desired
- Tactical Training Range operations and management
- Knowledge of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems and operations
- Knowledge of Marine Constructive Suite, Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) simulation or other HLA/DIS modeling tools
- USMC combat and training systems or Aviation combat and training systems
Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
