Who We Are
HII - Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our growing team. This role is part-time at our Bremerton, WA location.
At HII we build and maintain U.S. Navy readiness everyday. In this role you will play a critical role in ensuring that successful and safe work is performed onboard U.S. Naval Ships and our Military installations which is vital to our Mission to protect and serve our Military.
What You Will Do

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
What You Must Have
-
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

Knowledge in drafting and interpreting technical drawings.

Have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

May require 40 hours per week for occasional extended periods.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Strongly prefer candidates with 20+ years experience in a senior level Design Engineering role.

Experience as an Onsite Engineering Representative on CVNs, MCMs, LSDs.

Experience working as a PSNS Boston Det representative.

Experience in Mechanical, Piping and Electrical design requirements.
