This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Who We Are

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Deputy Program Manager for Operations to execute a sizeable multi-tenant Task Order. The Deputy Program Manager for Operations will work closely with customers and staff to support FEDSIM and Government Mission Partners for the Decisive Mission Actions and Technology Services (DMATS) Task Order. The Deputy Program Manager’s responsibilities include coordination with project leads to ensure the completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope. The Deputy Program Manager will oversee all aspects of the program's Operations on multiple projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor, and summarize the progress of projects in compliance with Government-required deliverables. The Deputy Program Manager will prepare reports and presentations for Government customers and the DMATS Program Manager regarding the status of multiple ongoing projects.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee projects in the DMATS task order
  • Support internal operations of the program management office to ensure task order requirements are met
  • Review and update project spend plans
  • Coordinate with Government customers on funding obligations and tracking
  • Prepare materials for weekly status with the Government customer
  • Prepare materials for internal program management reviews
  • Verify deliverables for quality and accuracy
  • Identify project problems and devise solutions.
  • Direct the work of employees assigned to the Program Management Office.
  • Review and approve subcontract statements of work, purchase requisitions, and travel requests

What We Are Looking For

  • 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, writing skills, and communication skills in order to understand customer problems and identify process improvements to address challenges
  • Organized, flexible, adaptable, team-oriented, and able to operate effectively in ambiguous situations
  • 3 years of experience in business process improvement methodologies, including process mapping, requirements gathering, workflow analysis, and performance metrics
  • Ability to use MS Office Suite
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance

Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • Project Management certification (PMP or DAWIA Level III)
  • ITILv4 certification
  • Experience with financial management principles, objectives, and processes
  • Experience with MS-SharePoint and Smartsheet
