Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Developer to assist with the design, development and implementation of scaled-agile (SAfe) features of ServiceNow and migration of data from Jira to ServiceNow, for a DoD Agency’s Directorate of Information Management and Technology (IM&T)!

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Support upgrade from Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Standard to SPM Professional
- Conduct demos to showcase SPM Professional functionality specifically scaled agile features (Strategic Planning > Enterprise Agile Planning (EAP) and the Scaled Agile Framework apps)
- Responsible for implementing ServiceNow’s scaled-agile (SAFe) features including discovery, design, configuration, and testing
- Lead necessary discussions and discovery workshops to assess downstream impact and dependencies of scaled-agile configuration effort with the on-going ServiceNow development
- Conduct a current state technical assessment and analysis of the ServiceNow platform to determine recommendations for a solution that best meets the business requirements
- Translate business requirements into epics, features and stories
- Create a solution backlog and lead backlog refinement and sprint planning efforts
- Consult with product teams to analyze data and define the approach and action plan for migration of data from JIRA to ServiceNow
- Plan and execute migration of data for projects, boards, and issues from JIRA to ServiceNow
- Develop and maintain necessary technical documentation and Knowledge Transfer guides for distribution to IM&T personnel
- Develop training material and conduct training demos to ServiceNow users
- Serve as ServiceNow SME and inform stakeholders on ServiceNow license/platform upgrade features
- Provide weekly status report on progress to IM&T
- Participate in meetings as necessary, Lead efforts as assigned, and Coordinate as required
- Additional duties as assigned or required
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience
- Proficiency developing and configuring ServiceNow (particularly the Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Professional application)
- Proficient knowledge and skilled application of ServiceNow workflows, UI policies, permission management, and business rules
- Proficient knowledge and skilled application of SPM features (Innovation, Demand, Agile Development, Project and Portfolio Management, Enterprise Agile Planning (EAP), and the Scaled Agile Framework apps)
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile development processes (particularly in the context of large-scale enterprises preferred)
- Knowledge and experience with SAFe and Scrum methodologies and the ability to integrate within the ServiceNow environment
- Migration experience from Jira to ServiceNow
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and configuring ServiceNow (particularly the SPM applications)
- 3+ years with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile development processes (particularly in the context of large-scale enterprises)
- ServiceNow Certifications: Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), or other relevant certifications
- SAFe Certification: Certification in SAFe or equivalent Agile frameworks is a plus
- Experience with enterprise-level integrations; familiarity with APIs (REST/SOAP) and integration tools/plugins for ServiceNow
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) or IT Operations Management (ITOM) is beneficial
