This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO). Come join our growing team today!
A successful candidate will be able to partner with the customer and multiple stakeholders to capture and assess enterprise-wide requirements from a strategic perspective that lead to policy, governance, and technical solution analysis. The position will require the team member to become knowledgeable in the customer’s business operations and technology resources to provide value-added contributions that enable the customer to consistently meet their mission, goals, and objectives!
*Position is a hybrid role- candidate will be expected to be in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
What you will do
- Clearly discern quality requirements that leads to a feasible solution; involves the eliciting, collecting, analyzing, communicating, and documenting of an actionable requirement that is further refined to ensure the right solution
- Carrying out interviews, surveys, and facilitating business process descriptions to assist the product owner toward essential requirements to meet business goals in tune with a Lean Process
- Develop use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task & workflow analysis
- Effectively communicate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritization
- Work with DoD CIO staff and stakeholders across the MILDEPs and DoD Agencies to prioritize requirements and develop a strategy and process for IT modernization across the customer’s business operations
- Adapt as necessary to perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the customer’s progressive responsibilities and directives

What we are looking for
- 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
- Great analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Must be an engaged and effective communicator, with good listening skills
- Requirements verification and validation
- Excellent documentation and technical writing skills
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) impacting software development
- Features and requirements traceability
- Experience in supporting Product Managers and Knowledge Managers in Agile software development and project management practices
- Strong Agile/Scrum business and software usability analysis
- Capacity and commitment to successfully work independently, as well as with a team
- Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and O365 technologies (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote)
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret Clearance
Bonus points for...
- Familiarity with Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) business area policy (structure of the EMS and challenges related to operating within various EMS bands; knowledge of EMS regulatory organizations)
- Experience with LEAN/ ITIL
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Confluence and Jira platforms
- Strong management skills; well-organized and detail-oriented
- Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments
