This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Business Analyst professional to join our Knowledge Management Team in support of multiple DoD customers! The Business Analyst role will require the team member to become knowledgeable in the customer's business operations and technology resources to provide value-add contributions that enable the customer to consistently meet their mission, goals and objectives. The successful candidate will contribute highly complex business and system analysis, process and technology expertise, and customer engagement/outreach skills to deliver solutions to the Government stakeholder community.

 

The Business Analyst position is also a key role in connecting the Knowledge Management/Business Analysis Team to other service delivery teams supporting our DoD customers. Come join our growing team today!

What you will do

  • Elicit, collect, analyze, communicate, and document requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, user story-based product backlog development, use cases modeling and specification, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis
  • Design product/software specifications that implement the behaviors described by the Project features and User Stories
  • Facilitate concept and feature modeling through prototyping, wireframes, and other test-driven methods
  • Work closely with cross-functional agile project teams to help drive projects across the product design, development and testing life cycle
  • Participate in/facilitate Scrum ceremonies; stand ups, retrospectives, demos, and sprints
  • Effectively communicate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritization 
  • Interacts with system developers to ensure the system/tools are properly implemented 
  • Test business processes and foster improvements
  • Contribute experience and subject matter expertise to maturing and growing the Knowledge Management team’s services, products, and operational influences
  • Adapt as necessary to perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the customer’s progressive responsibilities and directives 
  • Additional duties as assigned or required 

What we are looking for

  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience
  • Experience supporting Product Managers and Knowledge Managers in Agile software development and project management practices
  • Excellent documentation and technical writing skills
  • Effective communicator with good listening skills
  • Commitment to successfully work independently, as well as with a team
  • Great analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Adept at task, schedule, and deadline management
  • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft 365 technologies; Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OneNote
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance
