Job Description

HII- Technical Solutions Division (TSD) security department is currently seeking a Systems Administrator to work out of the Annapolis Junction, MD area or the Hampton Roads, VA area.

Essential Job Responsibilities


As a Systems Administrator, you'll serve as a front-line interface to users with technical issues by conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Position duties may include installing new software, troubleshooting, granting permissions to applications and training users. Position will be responsible for the day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems and configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network related interfaces on servers. This position will perform OS and vendor software patching on servers and monitor physical and virtual servers performance using monitoring tools.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Act as division lead for program development and integration of local SAs 
  • Provide system administrative support to field offices 
  • Act as a liaison for secured networks
  • Build accounts and provide diagnostics
  • Provide user support in SCIF environments
  • Provide support to the corporate security department
  • Direct support for RMF and SSP implementation and management
  • Configure and maintain Cisco switches and routers to include initial setup and firmware
  • Manage and administer security government security regulations for collateral and SCI contracts. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal/Intelligence Community regulations governing all SCIF operations and associated SCI contract-related security support.
  • Conduct security related liaison activities with internal leadership, external (Client) customers’/Government security officials 
  • Perform other related duties required to assure a comprehensive and viable security program within the designated SCIF as well as the division’s overall Security Program.
     
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience..
  • One of the following DoD approved certifications is required to meet the category/level IAT-2 (DoD 8570) requirement for this position. Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP, GSIH, or GCED. Training and Certification provided for applicants meeting the above requirements
  • In depth knowledge of the ICDs, and other related Federal security laws, directives and regulations.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a proactive, customer-focused approach in implementing and managing various, integrated security disciplines to create a successful security program.
  • Strong/effective written and verbal communications skills.
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI with Polygraph 
     
Preferred Requirements

 

  • Ten years of hands-on experience in IT field with a concentration on systems administrator work 
  • Self-starter with demonstrated experience building, configuring and managing Linux/Unix servers
  • Background in Windows server administration/configuration and file system support
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing virtual environments (VMWare ESX, Workstation)
  • Scripting experience (Bash, Shell, Python, Perl)
  • Experience configuring and maintaining storage and file systems (NFS, EXT3/4)
  • Experience with infrastructure design, including networking protocols and data redundancy
  • Customer service experience and orientation, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience working with a team to introduce and integrate new technologies into existing production environments
  • Experience with cross-domain transfer
  • Widows as primary O/S skill with Linux as secondary
  • Virtualization, Storage, Networking.
  • Microsoft Servers: knowledgeable of server 2008 and higher 
  • Knows Patch Management requirements  
  • Knows SLA process
  • Knowledgeable of open source programs requirements
