HII- Technical Solutions Division (TSD) is currently seeking a Software Engineer in either their San Antonio, TX or Annapolis Junction, MD location, who will work with other engineers on a software development team to produce analytics to support the cybersecurity warfighter mission. The Software Engineer will contribute to the analysis, design, development, integration, testing, documentation, deployment, operation, and maintenance of advanced software applications and systems with a strong focus on cyber security.

 

The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on solving hard problems, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is able to work independently as well as in a team environment, to build software tools and applications.

  • Design, develop and deploy apps with a focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability
  • Build and operate deployment pipelines

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar technical degree with 9 years relevant experience; 7 years with Masters
  • A minimum of 3+ years of industry experience
  • Experience with Java, Python, Go, or Javascript
  • Experience working with modern infrastructure and tools
  • Experience developing in Linux environments
  • Experience with continuous delivery and automated testing
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms, databases, design patterns, and understand how to apply them
  • Experience with direct support to end-users
  • Experience with pairing and collaborating with other engineers
  • Experience on both the frontend and the backend
  • Experience with API Development
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance which would require US citizenship

Preferred Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar technical degree
  • AWS certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills along with the ability to present technical data and approaches to both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Strong facilitation skills
