This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Job Description
HII – Mission Technologies is seeking an RF Engineer to join our Spectrum team, a group with more than 50 years of experience in wireless communications supporting the DoD, U.S. government agencies, and commercial partners both domestically and internationally.
We are looking for individuals who are eager to apply their technical expertise to real-world challenges in satellite communications, spectrum analysis, and interference mitigation. We encourage recent graduates to apply.
Compensation for this position will be based on a variety of factors, including the qualifications, education, experience, skills, internal equity, and market conditions. Final salary will be determined after consideration of all relevant factors in accordance with company policy.
LEVEL ONE - $78,823 - $112,603
LEVEL TWO - $91,213 - $130,304
LEVEL THREE - $108,606 - $155,151
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Perform radio frequency interference (RFI) analyses for satellite systems.
- Write detailed reports and/or messages describing the analysis methodology and presenting the results
- Review technical documentation to obtain the RF characteristics of satellite systems
Minimum Qualifications
- LEVEL ONE - 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- LEVEL TWO - 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- LEVEL THREE - 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in realted field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of communications systems
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Experience with MS Excel, Access, and Word to perform analyses and write reports
- Clearance: Ability to obtain a secret level security clearance.
Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
