This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Job Description

HII, Mission Technologies has a need for an RF Engineer 1 to work at our Annapolis Junction, Maryland office.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, tests radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems architecture, components, circuits, or products. Includes antenna design, both reflector and array systems, frequency synthesizers, transmitters and receivers.
  • Create 3D printing and custom enclosures.
  • Perform basic engineering analysis using Excel spreadsheets, MS Access data bases, and other modeling tools. Prepare draft messages and other documentation to support the analysis findings.
  • Comply with applicable quality and security procedures in the performance of duties.
  • May provide recommendations for improvements to existing quality systems and applicable company procedures and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
  • 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
  • Expereince working with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, spectrum generators, and RF antennas.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
