Cyber, Electronic Warfare and Space (CEW&S) is looking to hire a Protocol Analyst. This work is performed on customer site in the Ft Meade/Annapolis Area to directly collaborate with data scientists, cryptologic and cryptanalytic programmers, reverse engineers, and intelligence planners to synergistically enable real-time solutions to be implemented at the speed of need.

Responsibilities

 

  • Analyze protocol data to determine traffic patterns
  • Analyze metadata collected from tasked communications systems in order to identify, locate, and track targets, and to accurately report the intelligence gained from metadata analysis
  • Categorize traffic as benign, suspicious, or malicious activity
  • Document malicious tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
  • Have a network focus

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and 2 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 9 years of relevant experience
  • Degree must be in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, a Physical Science, or a related technical field.  
  • An Associate’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience will be considered for those who have completed one of the following military training courses: 451 (Intermediate Signals Analysis) or 452 (Advanced Signals Analysis) or who have participated in or graduated from the Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program


Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
