Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Cloud Financial Operations SME to develop, document and champion cloud infrastructure cost management best practices; build analytical and forecasting models; and partner with DoD, ally, and interagency stakeholders receiving a US Air Force AWS cloud-based program service involving Zero-trust enabled, data centric, coalition information sharing functionality.
What You Will Do
- Develop and champion cloud infrastructure cost management best practices.
- Build analytical models to provide data-driven guidance on cloud infrastructure spend.
- Create utilization and forecasting models to predict future outcomes of cloud infrastructure spend and usage.
- Create and maintain internal documentation on FinOps and cost optimization processes.
- Partner with the agencies finance, procurement, & engineering teams to help measure and manage their cloud infrastructure costs.
What We Are Looking For: Minimum Qualifications
- 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
- Possess 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud service; 2+ years of experience working in a DoD or other Federal Government environment
- Deep understanding of CSP FinOps tools
- Experience with relational databases, data extraction, and data analysis tools
- Understanding of Federal Government IT procurement processes
- Understanding of industry best practices related to Cloud resource tagging and tagging enforcement thru automation.
- Active Secret Clearance
Preferred: Bonus Points For
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, FinOps Certified Practitioner, or Azure Fundamentals.
