This position is for a large program supporting the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy (IBP) within the National Capitol Region.
The mission of the office is to ensure a healthy Defense Industrial Base (DIB) able to meet the warfighters’ needs with industrial capabilities upon which the DoD can rely on in an era of great power competition to fulfill current and future warfighter capabilities.
We will have several opportunities available (pending contract award) at various customer and HII sites. Remote or hybrid options may be available. The salary will range from $80,000 - $115,000. We may demonstrate flexibility depending upon experience.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform research and analysis to identify policies and strategies that leverage existing DoD authorities (e.g., U.S.C. Title 10, U.S.C. Title 50).
- Develop recommendations to mitigate risks to the DIB.
- Develop recommendations for new industrial capabilities or for enhancing existing capabilities to include identification of policies that support commercialization for emerging technologies.
- Perform supply chain policy reviews and recommend whether existing policy can be updated or if a new policy needs to be created to best address 21st century risk.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
- Experience in policy and legislative issues.
- Must be eligible to hold a SECRET level security clearance. TS/SCI preferred. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
