This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Job Description
Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is hiring multiple Mechanical Engineers to support operations at our Alexandria, VA location.
As a Mechanical Engineer you will contribute to the design, development and engineering of mechanical systems for complex facilities across domestic and international projects.
The following positions are available:
- Lead Mechanical Engineer Salary Range: $143,140 - $224,000
- Senior Mechanical Engineer Salary Range: $102,724 - $113,000
- Mechanical Engineer Salary Range: $84,285 - $133,000
Essential Job Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Lead Mechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 5): 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a commercial environment.
- Experience implementing Building Automation and System
- Experience with OCONUS installation service and maintenance
- Senior Mechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 3): 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a commercial environment.
- Experience implementing Building Automation and System
- Mechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 2): 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 0 years experience with Masters in related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a commercial environment.
Technical & Additional Requirements:
- All levels must possess an active TS/SCI clearance
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Experience utilizing 3-dimensional drafting tools such as CAD, Solidworks, and Revit
- Experience working with other development contractors and trades to include non-traditional applications
Preferred Requirements
- Lead Mechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 5):
- Professional Engineering license (PE)
- Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Experience with mechanical industry best practices, regulations and safety standards
- Senior Mechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 4):
- Professional Engineering license (PE)
- Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Proficiency with electrical industry best practices, regulations and safety standards
- Previous experience working on large teams
- Mechanical Engineer (Engineer Mechanical 2):
- Experience working on USG contracts
- Experience with mechanical industry best practices, regulations and safety standards
- Experience working on teams
- Demonstrated experience implementing Building Automation and Systems
