This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

You’ll take on rapid-turn projects that move from concept to deployment, contributing to hardware used worldwide by real end users.
Your impact will include:
- Hands-On Build & Rework: Assemble, modify, diagnose, and refine electronic assemblies, PCBs, cables, and harnesses. You’ll help create mission-critical systems—from vehicle integrations and electromechanical devices to motion platforms, electronics packaging, and multi-spectral signature management solutions (visible, NIR, thermal, acoustic, RF).
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work side-by-side with senior engineers, technicians, managers, and end-users in tight-knit, agile teams. Clear communication, quick iteration, and adaptability are core to how we work.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic systems and components.
- Perform functional testing using scopes, meters, generators, and other diagnostic tools.
- Assemble, modify, and rework PCBs, cables, harnesses, and electronic assemblies to spec.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical instructions.
- Install, configure, and maintain electronic equipment in bench, lab, and field environments.
- Document test results, repairs, and configuration changes per company standards.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Partner with engineers on prototype builds, design updates, and system integration.
- Follow quality and safety practices, including ESD, IPC, and facility protocols
- Identify root-cause failures and support continuous improvement.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace.
- Manage inventory of parts, tools, and test equipment.
- Calibrate and verify test equipment as required.
- Support onboarding and training of new technicians.
Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. citizen and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher security clearance
- Industry certifications such as
- IPC‑A‑610 / IPC‑J‑STD‑001 (soldering, assembly)
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 (wire harness manufacturing)
Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and PCB layouts
- Proficiency using test equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power supplies
- Experience with soldering, rework, and assembly of cables, harnesses, and PCBs
- Familiarity with troubleshooting analog and digital circuits
- Knowledge of ESD procedures and safe handling of sensitive electronics
- Ability to install, maintain, repair, and test electronic systems or components
- Basic computer skills and experience with diagnostic software, firmware updates, or configuration tools
Preferred Requirements
- Active Secret or higher SCI security clearance.
- Experience with
- Battery pack integration
- SMT equipment (stencil printer, pick and place, reflow oven)
- PCB washer
- Familiarity with ISO-9001, AS9100 requirements
- Understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, RF systems, or power electronics
- Ability and willingness to perform other activities as needed across the organization such as electro-mechanical assembly, operation and repair of manufacturing machinery such as waterjets and laser cutters, facility maintenance, application of coatings, forklift operation, etc.
