Job Description


As a member of the Pricing team, you will be responsible for the development and preparation of complex pricing (standard and non-standard) models based upon current business and competitive market in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs). Responsible for creating and maintaining pricing procedures, implementing pricing tools and managing pricelists. The Pricing Specialist will work in collaboration with business development, operations, engineering, program management office, contracts and finance to develop pricing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Evaluate customer requirements and develop strategies for meeting them

•    Analyze vital cost metrics to determine the viability of various pricing approaches

•    Manage cost inputs from multiple sources in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment
•    Prepare thorough and accurate price proposals that satisfy all customer requirements
•    Develop, coordinate, analyze, and prepare price proposals and supporting documentation in accordance with solicitation requirements, Government regulation, and corporate policies.

•    Develop and maintain pricing for all REMUS products, spare parts and accessories by product line
•    Create, update, publish and maintain all REMUS pricelists.
•    Routine maintenance of all pricing, including identifying and resolving issues with pricing database
•    Maintain special contract pricing negotiated with customers.
•    Implement and maintain pricing development tools that are scalable for all product lines and allow automation of pricelist and quoting.
•    Support the development of pricing guidelines and policies.
•    Ensure all pricing is in compliance with pricing strategies.
•    Monitor profitability using gross margin analysis.
•    Respond to pricing requests and inquiries within established turnarounds in support of quotes and proposals.
•    Support new product launches and/or existing product pricing updates.
•    Interface with business development and sales to understand the competitive environment by region, vertical market, and/or channel.
•    Provide guidance and support to all departments in addressing requests pertaining to all pricing items.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Estimates labor and material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on request for proposal (RFP) data submitted by prospective customers. Analyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data. Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors. Computes cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor. Prepares and maintains historical cost data. Creates cost models for cost estimating elements. Prepares cost reports and presents findings to management, contract staff, proposal coordinators, customer representatives, price auditors, vendors, and subcontractors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • Experience working with different government contract types, including FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, and IDIQ
  • Thorough knowledge of the FAR, DFAR & CAS 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government secret clearance #LI-MH1

  • Use of Microsoft Office Applications with a strong proficiency in Excel
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and reasoning skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with all levels of the organization
  • Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
