HII-Technical Solutions Division (TSD) is currently seeking an Information System Security Officer(ISSO) support the Naval Air Station Patuxent River.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Conducts a system security compliant validation process for Naval Air Platforms and Systems. The ISSO will be responsible for executing the ISSO/E responsibilities in support of obtaining required authorizations. This includes all aspects of the DoD/Navy Accreditation & Authorization (A&A) process. Position involves interaction with system developers, Government program management, technical and acquisition personnel.  Candidate will be responsible for developing and reviewing System Security Program (SSP) documentation, supporting system security categorization and evaluation using the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF). Telework is anticipated to be authorized for some work efforts, however any classified work will require physical presence at the NAVAIR facility. Physical commute distances for employees need to be less than 2 hours of the base.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • IAT II certification
  • Previous eMASS experience required
  • Should have a very solid understanding of RMF (to include the associated policies and requirements)
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance.



Preferred Requirements

  • IAT III or IAM III preferred
  • Experience with Navy Acquisition programs strongly desired
  • Top Secret clearance
