Job Description

*This position requires an active Top Secret Clearance to start.

**Relocation available for out of state personal.

Provides technical expertise in support of 24/7/365 watch-standing duties; manages all program systems, equipment, and components.  Troubleshoot system outages; coordinate with various agencies to maximize circuit readiness and minimize downtime; notify senior program personnel when anomalies or outages occur; qualify on all applicable equipment; maintain habitability of program spaces; conduct preventive maintenance as required; review and update Standard Operating Procedures as required; provides Critical Information Requirements (CIR) to the chain of command. #LI-MJ1

Essential Job Responsibilities

Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations. Provides technical expertise for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of installed systems; performs duties as Power Control Station/ Power Safety Officer (PCO/PSO) oversees the conduct of routine and preventative maintenance; informs the chain of command of any substantive changes to routine system configuration or capability. Drafts daily/monthly/weekly watchbills in support of operational requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Must have background in Electronic Maintenance, Information Systems or Telecommunication disciplines.
  • Must have an active DoD Top secret clearance
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain base access credentials

Preferred Requirements

  • Strong background in communications; fiber optics; electrical/electronic components; generators; AC/DC and high/low voltage theory and application. 

  • Thorough knowledge of the installation and maintenance of electrical/electronic components; working knowledge of Key Management Infrastructure. CUS

  • Experience and operational knowledge of various Test Equipment.

Physical Requirements

Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift. CUS
