Job Description
HII - Mission Technologies is looking to hire an Aviation Maintenance Specialist to provide technical and logistic support for the Army Futures Command, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, and the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Division (AMED) in Corpus Christi, Texas. AMED provides its engineers and analysts with the opportunity to gain experience in various programs, including Research & Development, Fielding & Implementation, and Sustainment Engineering programs supporting the DoD Aerospace Industry. In addition, HII engineers and analysts set the standard of professional and ethical conduct and participate in diverse professional development opportunities.

What you will do
- Provide technical and logistical support for the AMED Center for Repair Engineering and Technology Evaluation (CREATE) program.
- Provide technical and logistical support for the Air Force Liaison Office (AFLO) programs.
- Support AMED and AFLO leadership with expert advice, analysis, research, and technical guidance related to aviation technical and logistic solutions for rotary aircraft or unmanned aircraft systems.
- Manage aircraft parts and logistic material stock Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) to help the Army and Air Force avoid wasteful replacement costs, support the depot aircraft and component overhaul repair lines, and prevent sending non-issuable mission-critical items downrange.
- Manage incoming and outgoing aircraft parts processing, receiving, shipping, and reporting.
- Provide analytical and logistics support for engineering repair development, technical evaluation, and advanced manufacturing projects.
What we are looking for
- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- Proficient in managing work in progress, material/component availability, data analysis, logistic challenges, and reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with Aviation Logistics Management processes, requirements, and standards.
- Proficient with utilizing warehouse support equipment and the ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Experience providing analytical and logistics support for a DoD aviation component.
- Aviation component and system quality assurance and control maintenance experience.
- Proficient in writing detailed technical substantiation analyses, reports, and briefings.
- Possess strong listening, written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, repair manuals, and technical reports.
- Competence in MS Office and related software/programs.
- Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Requirements
- DoD aircraft maintenance certification with production control and quality control qualifications.
- Logistics management experience supporting aviation logistics management processes, requirements, and standards for US Army Aviation.
- Experience working with the Corpus Christi Army Depot or other DoD Depot Maintenance facilities.
- Experience working with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Disposition Services.
- Military Aviation Depot, Intermediate, or Organizational Level maintenance repairs.
- Three or more years of experience in data warehousing principals/best practice solutions, cross-functional knowledge, and experience with asset management and COSIS.
- Security Clearance: Possess an active Department of Defense Security Clearance.

- Office and industrial environment. Lifting and moving materials to stay within the guidelines for a one-person lift.
